Garage Gyan is the online training platform operated by CAR TOOL INDIA (GSTIN 23BVGPJ7366G1ZH), BR/44 Baihar Road, Near Samvidhan Sqare, Balaghat Madhya Pradesh 481001. This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website and app, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Data we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the training service:

Contact details — your name, phone number, WhatsApp number and email address, given when you register or contact us.
Payment information — handled by our payment partners. We receive the transaction status and reference, not your full card or bank credentials.
Learning data — lessons watched, course progress and quiz results, used to show your progress and issue completion records.
Device and usage data — device model, operating system, app version, crash logs and basic usage analytics.
Approximate location — derived from your device or network, used for regional language defaults, support routing and fraud checks. We do not track continuous or precise location.

How we use it

To create and operate your account and give access to courses.
To send course updates, lesson releases and support replies on WhatsApp, SMS or email.
To process payments and keep tax and accounting records as required by Indian law.
To improve lessons and fix technical problems using aggregated analytics.
To prevent misuse, account sharing and unauthorised redistribution of course content.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

payment gateways and app stores that process your transaction;
communication providers used to deliver WhatsApp, SMS and email messages;
analytics and hosting providers that operate parts of the service on our behalf;
government or legal authorities where we are required by law to do so.

Retention

We keep contact and learning data while your account is active, and for as long afterwards as tax, accounting or legal obligations require. Payment records are kept for the statutory period. You may ask us to delete the rest at any time.

Your choices

Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
Ask us to delete your account and associated learning data, subject to legal record-keeping.
Withdraw consent for marketing messages by replying STOP on WhatsApp or writing to us.

Security

Access to personal data is limited to people who need it to provide the service. We use encrypted connections for the website and app, and we require our payment partners to be PCI-DSS compliant. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your login details private.

Children

The training is intended for working technicians and students aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age without a parent or guardian.
